Hi my name is Kirk Pingatore and I currently own and operate Barks By The Bay. Never would I have ever thought growing up that I would one day have my own business let alone one that involves walking dogs and boarding pets, but how thankful I am to be here. I grew up in Novato, CA in the northern area of Marin County. Growing up my parents bred American Kennel Club registered yellow labs which meant we constantly had puppies and dogs running around the house. That is probably where my comfort around dogs began. From then till now we have come a long way and I have been lucky enough to work with hundreds (yes hundreds) of pups!

 

My wife and I have two dogs named, Bailey (Pomeranian) & Bogey (Brittany Spaniel/Terrier mix). Bailey is 8 pounds and Bogey is still growing but currently he is 30 pounds. They are the best co-workers I could ask for and help make dogs of all sizes and temperments feel comfortable and happy with the pack.

 

Over the years I have learned so much about dogs. Being able to communicate, train and care for so many different breeds and personalities has allowed me to enjoy the business that’s been built. Dogs are the definition of pure unconditional love. You’ll never meet anything else on this planet that no matter what is going on they will always be happy to see you and live up to the saying, “mans best friend”.

 

Since opening in 2013, Barks By The Bay has been built into a premier dog walking and boarding business thriving in the San Francisco and Marin County areas. With over 7 years of experience working with dogs and their owners we are confident that we have seen most things when it comes to pups and how they interact and you can trust that your pup will be cared for as if they were our own.
